| Its derby day for the second time in the space of three weeks on Saturday when Leigh Miners take on local rivals Leigh East at Twist Lane, Kick Off 2-30pm. The visitors will start favourites having won the last two derby’s, the most recent being an 18-10 victory at LSV in mid-September. Since the victory over Miners Leigh East have won one lost one, beating Ince Rose Bridge 34-16 followed by a 50-18 heavy home defeat against Thatto Heath last weekend. Miners have picked up one win and a draw since the defeat at LSV, winning 28-12 at home against Wigan St Judes followed by a hard fought 22-22 draw last weekend away at Egremont Rangers. With warm weather expected it’s sure to be a full house at Twist Lane on Saturday and hopefully the large crowd will be in for a cracking game of Rugby League.
Leigh Miners A team are away to Oldham St Annes.
