I'm happy we won, largely due to to the ridiculous comments from HKR fans online, blaming the ref and whatever else they can. There's been some ridiculous posts but the commentary from (I assume?) Rovers TV is hilarious and unbelievably tinpot.


There were a bunch of dubious calls in their favour, plus the on-field 'try' for Burgess when the ref hadn't seen it and the 5-2 penalty count.


How, after all of that, can you genuinely think that the referee is biased against you?  Can only assume it's new fans they've picked up in the last couple of years.

Smith giving an offside after they'd knocked on is a disgrace and clearly playing to the home crowd.


Lets face it, a ref can give an offside against the defending team, pretty much at anytime in the game and for me it needs to be a blatant offside to be awarded.

That happens all the time in games though. We got one or two decisions like that too. I re-watched the game last night, and, as so often, I didn't see too much to complain about with the ref's performance on a second viewing. I thought the obstruction in mid-field which handed Wigan possession ("You ran behind your own player" No he didn't) was pretty harsh.
