Someone has to go, and without a dominant half back to take all the pressure off him he is pretty much ineffective in the majority of games.

Last time he said he was going back to oz he ended up at Bradford so anything is possible.

If he does leave it appaers to me that we would have the right amount of quota players but we would also be serverly lacking at half back.

There had been a lot of talk a few months back about Widnes having a solid interest in Jeffries. Not quite Australia but definately a different country

We are allowed 5 quota players. At the moment we have Millard, Obst, Jeffries, Morrison, Parker and Smith who all counted on the quota last year so we need 1 to leave so that we fit under the quota.

HOWEVER if a player has been at a club for 6 years then they no longer count on the quota regardless of their nationality. Obst has been with us since 2005 so i think that he will come off the quota. Jeffries has been at the club for more than 6 years in total, however thse years were split by his spell at Bradford so i am not sure wether Jeffries will count on the quota or not.

Not really - because at least one of those you have stated is wrong and one of them may well be changing. This whole issue is a complete mine-field - just ask Cas!

Yes sorry. I forgot to mention that we currently have 5 quota players so we are full at the moment (this presumes that because left and came back still counts on the quota). If jeffries does leave this will leave us with a space, i would like us to sign big Charlie or a half back with a good kicking game.
