| I don?t know about backs not having flair. I think the left edge with Pratt and TJ went well tonight. They must have made a ton of yards between them in their carries.
Jowitt was also good once he?d blown off the rust. He needs to stay at full back.
The right edge needs looking at a little. Hall or Scott are centres and a winger needs to be on the wing.
I think our issue is we need a 6. One who can link up the plays between 7 and Max. Pitts as much as I like him received the ball and carted it into the line half the time like a forward.
If we bring in a halfback short term we will benefit hugely imho.
Farrimond, Whitby, Richardson etc. There has to be someone available surely until Trueman is fit.
I would rather see Stevenson there though than Pitts again. At least he would be able to link up and take some kicks in play off Lino.

| Just got home after a long drive South.
What a game. What a turnaround. Great atmosphere in the North Terrace.
I'm still buzzing!

| Awful performance. We were as Dull as dishwater to watch, 1 up rugby for large parts. Our intensity and kicking game again absolutely stunk in the first half and improved in the second. If that was a top 6/8 team we were playing tonight we would have absolutely been blown away again by half time.
To say this was our derby game, our team looked to have the intensity of a local Lawn bowls team.

| We made some awful plays in the first half, in fact all the way through the game, just less in the final 20. Even in the last second when we let them have a free crack at goal without pressuring
There were good moments
Faatili is improving every game. Love his energy Scott back to centre for me. Walmsley on the wing. I like Cossa a lot
And ultimately when we played badly, we still found a way to win. That is worth it's weight in gold

| Crazy game. We are just full of mistakes and it?s killing us. When I saw the team sheet I thought we were just going to try blow them away through the middle and complete high. But I think this is the first time Powell got his selection completely wrong, and was disappointed not to hear him mention that in his presser after the game. He said he was disappointed to hear the fans booing at half time because the lads were trying, but I think most were booing his choices.
Cam Scott was obviously put on the wing to make yards in our own end - which he did to an extent - but there?s so much more wingers are trained to do. Defending kicks, holding shape out wide, and finishing obviously. Scott couldn?t do any of that. I was also really disappointed with his non-attempt to close Hoy down for their first try.
Then picking such a big bench gave us no option to rejig at half time. If he doesn?t play Walmsley next week it?ll be a show of stubbornness.
I also think Griffin was a bad pick. He carries well but he?s so lazy - often shirks his responsibilities as third man in the tackle, and he?s quite easy to get around these days. But with Nikotemo now out again it looks likely he?ll keep his place. I?d be tempted to out Croft back in, and Vagana obviously.
And of course we need a half. Lino prefers playing down that right channel, and we all but ignored our left edge in good ball, which included our three biggest strike weapons against two of the worst defenders in SL. Again, for me that?s poor coaching. I?d like to see Max back at 6, with Rourke at 1. Otherwise, I?d like to see Stevenson get a shot, if he is ready.
But there were positives. Uele was good again, Nikotemo too, and Faatili completely changed the game. It was relief more than anything.
