I would not be surprised if this happens.

There have been rumblings regarding Mick Turner`s fitness/conditioning regime, even before the season commenced, & throughout the season.

Jon Clarke for all his limitations skill-wise as a player, was an exemplary trainer, & a fitness fanatic.

He had a good working relationship with Tony Smith, & would be a popular appointment.

As an ex-international player himself,Jon would be able to relate to the players, & have their respect, but still be the hard task master which is a requisite for the job.

Clarke - prodigal ?

Nope, I don't understand that as a definition. As far as I'm aware he left through mutual consent after being at Warrington for over 10 yrs (so not a relationship driven by extravagence or remorse that "prodigal" would imply).

It has been suggested that a certain Mr P Cullen might be on his way back....

Hope so he may be able to tell my mum and mum in law where all those lost hips are.
