| In the eyes of most of you, this man was not good enough for us but yet he has secured an nrl contract. As Franks biggest fan i still think we will miss him massivley but i wish him all the best.

| He has played in the NRL before so that is not the issue. He was clearly not happy in 2017 & 2018. His form dipped whish was not helped by Wigan's injuries so he had no competition for his place. He was reported to be on a good contract and so him leavIng is probably the best outcome for Wigan and himself.

| Its probably surprising that we don't see this happen more often with overseas players to be fair. Its nothing to do with Wigan or SL but I think a lot of people underestimate how difficult moving to the other side of the world can be (IIRC about a third of UK immigrants to Australia return to the UK, having found it too hard).

It’s also not just the player who needs to settle its their family too. I’d say it’s far easier for the player as they get to know the rest of the team and go to work every day. For the “wag” leaving friends and family and not having the work environment to get to know people must be far harder, they probably didn’t want to go in the first place and only did it for their partners career.
From a players point of view if your other half is unhappy it will affect performances as I believe it did in Franks case.

| I mentioned when we signed him that his career seems to follow a pattern where he hits the ground running then his form drops away.
I don’t think this is anything to do with his ability it’s more an issue with his mentality.
Given the rumours of his significant contract and his all too often patchy form I think the call to release a clearly unhappy player is a good one by the club.

| He was pretty awful last year but I did have hopes that he’d kick on this year as he was a lot fitter and was apparantly really getting stuck in to training.
Wane has said there will be no replacement but that worries me to be honest. I still only have anything like reasonable faith in Flower and Clubb to get the job done and even they wouldn’t be in the top ten props in the league.

And what will happen if they both get injured.

| A few big name Aussies have come to the UK, been awful and immediately started trying to find ways out of their contracts.
The running joke over here - where cold and rain are ways of life - is that, if they find themselves away from an idyllic beach for any length of time, they have a nervous breakdown.
I wouldn't be quite so cruel. I think, as others have said, that moving around the world is difficult.
However, to do it for only a couple of years - on very big money - is surely not terribly onerous. There are times when I wish that some of these guys, and their other halves, would simply man up.

It's what happens when injuries kick in that concerns me to be honest. You need four in the side every week, lets say that's Clubb/Flower/Sutton/Tautai. Already that's two good props and two average ones, but when we get injuries (as always happens in the forwards due to the nature of the role), we're throwing in either unproven players (Navarette/Bretherton/Kibula) or back rowers out of position (J.Tomkins/O'Loughlin/Isa/Hamlin). I'd like to think we're at least having a look in the Championship for a cheap experienced option if we aren't looking to make a like-for-like replacement.

We get a trip to Toulouse or Toronto in the middle 8s. Happy days.

Given they get to spend at least three months back home in the Aussie summer I think that is fair comment.

| Correct me if I'm wrong; In the last couple of months we've let two contracted players break their contracts, who have then gone on to more or less immediately sign with a NRL team for no fee?
Some shrewd business from the club there.
